GASTON CHIQUET BLANC DE BLANCS D'AY
This long time staff favorite is one of only two Blanc de Blancs to hail from the village of Ay, a Grand Cru citadel of Pinot Noir. Here the Chardonnay fruit becomes more expressive of tart pears and green melons suggesting perhaps the flavors of a sparkling Vouvray but with the stony undercarriage and length that could only come from a fine Champagne. Delicious as it is distinctive.
