CASA CASTILLO 09 VALTOSCA
WINE ADVOCATE 91 POINTS-Dark cherry colored. Strong characteristics of earth, mineral, ripe fruit, toast, chocolate, and coffee. Concentrated on the palate with a pure and lengthy finish.
The first wine was launched to the market in 1993 and today Jose Mª Vicente manages the "Propiedad Vitícola Casa Castillo".
The Syrah grapes for the 2009 Valtosca are sourced from the "Valtosca" vineyard, which translates to "Valley of Stone". Pairs well with grilled pork chops or goat cheese cured in pork fat.
