Brander Winery has set the bar quality wise with their Sauvignon Blanc and white blends, so when the chance to taste their new red came along we jumped for joy! The blend is 68% Merlot, 17% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Syrah. On the palate upfront, the wine is soft and juicy showing a beautiful core of sweet red fruits & cherries. Mid way through gives you a dose of spice and nice acidity balancing the forward fruit just enough to cleanse your taste buds. The overall feel is light and low on tannins making this a beautiful option to pair up with your Thanksgiving meal. For the price, this is one of those “buy by the case wines” to carry you through the winter. Balanced, delicious and inexpensive…..what more could we ask for?
