BERECHE 05 BT VV
As the name suggests, this is composed exclusivelyof old vine Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay
fruit sourced from all the different terroirs of the estate.
Tighter wound and more structured than their 2002, this
kinetic ‘05 impresses with its stunningly fresh and fragrant
demeanor. A very lively mousse propels a range of bakery
counter aromas that are joined by hints of Macintosh
apples, pears and lemon chiffon. Its palate is dominated
by vibrant cider-like flavors that take on facets of honey,
spice and limestone as the Champagne warms in the
glass. We have yet to see any wine media reviews of this
newly minted release, but if our impressions matter, this
bottling along with its sibling (below) must be included in
the highest echelon of the Champagne class.
