Called "the most satisfying" of the Beaune premier crus, "Clos des Mouches" may too be this walled city's most famous and complex. Brigitte blends grapes from the top of the slope and the bottom for a velvety, complex and lushly endowed Burgundian Pinot Noir with great staying power. Aromas remind of blackberries, violets and lightly toasted tobacco; the mouth is full and silky, with impressive freshness and lift, suggesting ripe cherries and more blackberries with real vibrancy and thrust.
