A very humble Alfio Cavallotto produces Barolos that are certainly among the top tier of his contemporaries and this 2004 is simply stunning. It possesses all of the terroir and finesse of Castiglione Falletto yet it’s endowed with exceptional weight and structure. Like the Cascina Francia, this one’s for the cellar at the moment as it’s in hibernation. Put this one away and expect to be wowed in the future.
